FEDGE BREAKS THE SILENCE AROUND STRAINED FAMILY TIES IN NEW SINGLE

“CAN’T YOU SEE” OUT AUGUST 22

A raw, emotional pop anthem for anyone who’s ever longed for love from family.

(San Francisco — August 14, 2025) — With his third single Can’t You See, San Francisco-based artist Fedge explores a rarely-heard theme in pop music: the exhaustion of constant conflict with the people we love most, and the hope for reconnection before it’s too late.

Set against anthemic pop-rock production and aching vocal harmonies, Can’t You See is a plea for closeness in relationships where love feels conditional, communication turns to arguments, and the push and pull makes it harder to stay connected.

“Growing up, I felt like I was always trying to keep the peace, holding back my feelings so we wouldn’t drift further apart,” says Fedge. “And when you’re the child of immigrants, that distance can feel especially heavy, like balancing two cultures, two generations, two ways of thinking under one roof. You learn to build tough skin. But underneath, you’re still just a kid who wants the sweet without the bitter.”

The chorus delivers the song’s central ache: “Why is everything a fight? Can’t you see we’re on borrowed time… All I need is love, can’t you see?” It’s not a breakup lyric, but a plea to be met with tenderness instead of tension.

Following the disco-fueled confrontation of Invisible to You and the bittersweet regret of Too Early, Too Late, Can’t You See continues Fedge’s narrative of vulnerability and healing — a thread that will run through his upcoming debut EP Through It All, due this fall.

“Every generation has the chance to break a cycle,” Fedge says. “We can’t rewrite the past, but we can choose to show up differently moving forward. This song is my way of turning pain into something that might help someone else feel less alone.”

Can’t You See is out August 22 on all major streaming platforms.

CAN’T YOU SEE - LYRICS

Verse
You get under my skin
Arguing just to win
Judgment in your tone
No wonder I learned to face the world alone
I’m fighting hard to rise above
Rise above
Am I wrong to ask for love?
Ask for love

Pre Chorus
Why is everything a fight
Can’t you see oh we’re on borrowed time
Tryna bring us back to light
Don’t you see my love is not a crime

Chorus
Worn out from livin' this way
I don’t want the bitter
I just want the sweet
All I need is love, can’t you see?
All I need is love, can’t you see?

Verse
You brush me to the side
Act like you’ve got nothing left to hide
If you could feel my heart
Why don’t we try to run it from the start?
You don’t listen you just push and pull
Push and pull
The years ahead will be so cold
Be so cold

Verse
Why is everything a fight
Can’t you see oh we’re on borrowed time
Tryna bring us back to light
Don’t you see my effort every time

Chorus
Worn out from livin' this way
I don’t want the bitter
I just want the sweet
All I need is love, can’t you see?
All I need is love, can’t you see?

Bridge
Can’t you see?
Can’t you see?
Can’t you see?

Chorus
Worn out from livin' this way
I don’t want the bitter
I just want the sweet
All I need is love, can’t you see?
All I need is love, can’t you see?
